The everyday problem
Does this price cover the product, your time and the selling fees?
A material pack price is not a product cost. A quoted margin is not the profit of an order already sold. This workbook connects usable pack quantities and a recipe to a current quote, while historical orders retain the actual amounts you entered.

Connect the costs
In the fictional example, M-FAB and M-ZIP feed product P-001 through Recipe. Products shows base unit cost 10.00.
Review the quoted price
Quote uses ten units, a 10% discount, 5% selling fee, 1.00 flat fee and 30% target contribution margin. The asking price is 17.27 before discount.
Keep actuals separate
Orders records net revenue 155.00, actual costs 109.00 and profit 46.00. Changing a material price changes the current quote, not these historical totals.

Before you choose
Fit and practical limits.
- A maker pricing small batches of handmade goods using one currency and manual records.
- A home studio comparing a quoted price with the actual contribution from completed orders.
Understand the boundaries.
- 100 materials, 100 products, 500 recipe lines and 200 order records. One currency; no conversion.
- Amounts are net of tax. Selling fees, labour assumptions and historical actuals are entered by you; no marketplace fee lookup or tax calculation.
- A current quote uses current material and product costs. Orders retain entered historical costs; they do not update when a material price changes.
- Contribution is after the entered selling fees. Margin and markup use different denominators; neither is a tax or accounting profit measure.
- No stock depletion, purchasing, ecommerce connection, receipt capture or bookkeeping automation.
- Native Excel verification remains pending. Resolve input warnings before reading the calculated views.
