The everyday problem
What have we approved, and what is still unpaid?
A cheap quote may exclude removal, tax or an allowance. A deposit may look like a second cost if it is copied into another list. This file keeps the scope, accepted commitment and actual cash separate, then brings them together for a review.
Optional guideNeed help getting started?Choose where to begin. All listed files are included.

Compare the scope
Q-01 totals 5,000 including tax and a provisional sum. Q-02 has an unknown sum, so its total stays UNKNOWN.
Separate decisions from cash
C-01 commits 5,000. Approved CH-01 adds 300; proposed CH-02 adds nothing yet. A 1,500 deposit and 100 refund make net paid 1,400.
Review before paying
The remaining balance is 3,900 at the example review date. Future P-03 is PLANNED. Inspect every contract balance, including negative ones.

An approved extra changes the balance; a proposed one does not.
Fictional kitchen refresh at 8 October 2026; EUR. A quote has an unknown provisional sum. The proposed 180 change and future 3,900 payment stay separate. Quotes with missing figures show UNKNOWN rather than a misleading zero.

Fit and practical limits.
- A household planning a kitchen refresh or a defined room renovation.

- 100 scope items, contracts, decisions and snags; 200 quotes and changes; 500 payments. One project and one currency.
- Enter tax and provisional sums yourself; no tax advice, automatic estimates or quantity surveying.
- Accepted totals are manual decisions. The workbook does not choose a supplier, create a contract or authorise work.
- Dates and lead times are your inputs. No automatic construction scheduling, contractor booking or bank connection.
- Negative commitments or overpayments remain visible and require review. Native Excel and other spreadsheet-app compatibility remain unverified.
Native Microsoft Excel verification remains pending. Google Sheets and Numbers support has not been established.

Questions about this workbook
The details that affect your choice.
Can I edit the formula cells?
Blue cells are inputs; grey cells contain formulas. Keep the original clean file and make a working copy. The formulas are visible and not password protected.
Does it connect to a service or send reminders?
No. It is a local workbook with manual records and a review date you maintain. It has no account, external data connection, email or automated booking.
What if I exceed the supplied rows?
The stated capacities are fixed. Adding rows requires extending formula ranges, tables and validations; automatic expansion beyond those capacities is not advertised.
