The everyday problem

What needs attention in the garden, and what did we harvest?

Keep plants, beds, batches, your confirmed offsets, tasks, actual harvest and costs connected. Yield retains its recorded unit; dates come from your inputs. The worked batch links a plant to one bed and two entered timing offsets. Harvest records 800 g total and 70 g unusable. Changing the plant unit cannot silently reinterpret that historical measurement.

What would you like to do?

Pick a useful task, or build your own selection.

Choose one task

Which sheets would you explore first?

Choose your starting points. The workbook keeps all its connected sheets and formulas; this does not remove or rebuild worksheets.

Nothing selected yet.

Review active batches, overdue work and actual harvest records without adding unlike harvest units.

Set your review date and reporting period. Planning dates and completed records remain separate.

Enter your own plant reference, harvest unit and sourced timing offsets. No growing schedule is prescribed.

Name the bed or container that a planting batch belongs to.

Link a plant and bed to a sowing date. Estimated dates use your entered offsets.

Record the next job for a batch, its due date and an explicit completion status.

Record actual total and usable quantities. Each record retains the plant’s own harvest unit.

Record actual spending, with an optional batch link and your receipt reference.

Compare total, usable and unusable harvest for the same crop and unit.

Review open tasks, recorded completions and estimated harvest starts by week.

Read how your plant references feed batches, jobs and actual harvest records.

    1. Recognise the planting reference

Plants PL-01 uses grams for its harvest. Batch B-01 links PL-01 to BED-01; your own timing offsets produce estimates, not guaranteed growing dates.

      Inspect Batches
    2. Compare two actual harvests

      Harvest H-01 records 500 g total and 450 g usable. H-02 records 300 g total and 280 g usable. Both belong to B-01.

      Inspect Harvest
    3. Review one crop in one unit

Crop Review PL-01 shows two harvest records: 800 g total, 730 g usable and 70 g not usable. The separate radish reference uses individual items; its unit is not added to grams.

      Track a planting batch

      You enter

Connect a batch to one plant and bed, enter its sowing date, quantity and stage. Estimated dates derive from your offsets; they are planning aids, not growing advice.

      Calculated

      Harvest H-01 records 500 g total and 450 g usable. H-02 records 300 g total and 280 g usable. Both belong to B-01.

      Record what actually happened

      You enter

Tasks hold due and completed dates separately. Harvest records measured quantity and usable quantity in the plant unit. Costs record actual purchases without estimating the value of the food grown.

      Calculated

Crop Review PL-01 shows two harvest records: 800 g total, 730 g usable and 70 g not usable. The separate radish reference uses individual items; its unit is not added to grams.
