A practical guide / Printables

A good first print.

Use the PDF made for your paper size, check one page, then print only what you need.

1. Unzip, then choose A4 or US Letter.

Each pack includes separate print and fillable A4/US Letter PDFs and an illustrated guide. 10 packs also include separately laid-out A5 files and a US Letter guide. A4 is 210 × 297 mm. US Letter is 8.5 × 11 inches (215.9 × 279.4 mm). Choose the filename that matches the paper loaded in the printer. A4 and US Letter contain the same templates, laid out separately.

2. Open the PDF in a PDF reader.

Open the downloaded file locally. Use the clean print version for handwriting or the separately named fillable version for typed entries and checkboxes. In a form-capable PDF reader, save a copy and reopen it to check the entries. Browser PDF viewers can print too, but their settings differ. A PDF reader is not supplied with the pack.

3. Check the print settings.

Choose the same paper size in the printer dialog, portrait orientation, and actual size / 100%. Turn off extra browser headers and footers if shown. A4/US Letter layouts keep about 15 mm content margins; the separately laid-out A5 files use about 10 mm. A printer with a larger unprintable area may need adjustments.

4. Print one test page.

Print the page you’ll use most, or try the free weekly page first. Check the page title, footer and outside writing boxes for clipping. Leave the remaining pages unprinted until you know the settings work.

5. Use the pages that fit your routine.

The packs are undated. Print another weekly page when you need it, or repeat a checklist for another room or trip. Page numbers identify the templates; you do not need to print the entire pack in order.

If the print is too small or cut off.

Check that the PDF filename, dialog paper size and paper tray agree. Some print dialogs apply “Fit” or “Shrink” automatically. Start at actual size / 100%; if your printer clips the outside lines, try “Fit to printable area” and check another single page. Scaling changes the writing space.

Ink, binders and two-sided printing.

The pages use light lines and small headings to keep large colour areas off the printable. They can be printed in grayscale. Printer quality, paper and ink use vary; no exact ink saving is promised. The original PDFs keep their stated margins. Your included Print Studio can make a static print set with 0–18 mm binding allowance, mirrored left/right margins, optional corner guides and monochrome vectors. Extra allowance reduces the page content to make space; inspect one page at 100% before punching holes or printing two-sided. The generated print PDF has no typing fields and does not copy entries from a fillable file.

What has been checked.

All supplied pages have been rendered digitally and inspected for layout, text, size and printable boundaries. A physical print on your own printer has not been verified. The free page lets you check your setup before a purchase.
